Group of programs standing out to Clay-Chalkville LB D’Angelo Barber

d'ANGELO BARBER ON CINCINATTI VISIT

D’Angelo Barber has had a busy couple of weeks with him visiting multiple programs.

Barber is coming off of visits to Auburn, Arkansas, Ole Miss, Louisville, Cincinnati, and UCF. A few of those programs are standing out to the Clay-Chalkville junior.

“Arkansas, Auburn Oklahoma, UCF and Ole Miss,” Barber told Touchdown Alabama when asked which schools are showing him the most love.

Auburn hosted Barber on March 22, and the Tigers’ new staff showed him they were trying to build a special 2024 recruiting class.

“I like Auburn,” Barber said. “Auburn is a good place. Coach Freeze and the rest of the staff, they are good people, and they are really making sure that with this next recruiting class, they get everybody that they trying to get. They are going to show you how much they love you and want you to be there.”

Ole Miss is another program Barber really likes.

“I like Ole Miss,” said Barber. “I like just the environment, the school. I like being able to sit down with Coach (Pete) Golding and talk to him.”

Arkansas hosted Barber last month and made him feel wanted.

“It was a great vibe from everybody, from the coaching staff to the recruiting people,” said Barber. “Everybody just made us feel at home. They made me feel like I’m welcome there and they wanted me.”

The 2024 recruit considers his recruitment open at the moment with a long list of schools showing interest in him as he is visiting Texas A&M this weekend.

At 6-foot-1 and 225 pounds, Barber is a physical linebacker who plays with a chip on his shoulder. He displayed the ability to diagnose a play early and attack it during the 2022 football season.
