Hawkins attends IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida, and he is a 2024 four-star recruit. He currently has Florida, Louisville, Miami, Penn State, Wisconsin and West Virginia in his top six, which means Alabama will most likely have some ground to make up with its new target.

At 5-foot-9 and 165 pounds, Hawkins has elite speed, and he an prove it. He clocked in a 4.25 forty-yard dash while camping at Ohio State last summer. He also holds a PR of 10.44 in the 100-meter dash.

The West Virginia product played his junior season at Wheeling Park High School in West Virginia. He finished the 2022 football season with 1,127 yards and 14 touchdowns with his ability to use his speed to take the top off defenses and by making it difficult to keep up with him in the open field. The four-star also played on both sides of the football.
