Nick Saban adds an interesting chess piece to his coaching staff at the University of Alabama.
According to Mike Rodak of Bama 247Sports, former Auburn defensive lineman Gary Walker has been added as a graduate assistant to the Crimson Tide. Walker, a native Georgian, played for the Tigers from 2015 to 2019. The 5-foot-11, 283-pounder saw action in 23 career games — including eight in his fifth season in 2019. Walker did not become an impact player for the Tigers; however, he knows Kevin Steele’s system. He played under Steele as Auburn’s defensive coordinator from 2016 to 2019.
