Former Auburn RB training Jase McClellan for monster senior year

Alabama RB Jase McClellan (#2) breaks a tackle against Ole Miss defender in last week's matchup
Petre Thomas - USA TODAY Sports

A running back from the University of Alabama is out to prove he’s one of the best players in the nation.

Jase McClellan enters his senior season in the upcoming fall. The native Texan brings experience, speed, power, quickness, and versatility out of the backfield. He bounced back from an injury in 2021 to total 665 yards rushing, 174 yards receiving, and ten touchdowns in 2022. McClellan has his sights on a monster season, especially with the potential of having a strong draft grade.

The 5-foot-11, 212-pounder has returned to training with former Auburn running back, Brad Lester.

Lester has worked with McClellan in the past and also trained Najee Harris.

Harris, a California native, posted 1,466 yards rushing, 425 yards receiving, and 30 touchdowns in 2020.

He captured several awards that year, helped the Crimson Tide to a College Football Playoff National Championship, and became a Heisman Trophy finalist. Lester is hopeful McClellan can have a similar season to Harris. He has the former four-star working on open-field moves, perfecting change of direction in small spaces, and using his hips more on open-field moves.

Lester feels McClellan is about to go crazy in the fall.
