He has a massive new contract extension and made the NFL’s Top 100 players of 2023.

Trevon Diggs enters his fourth NFL season with a lot to be excited about. He inked a five-year extension worth $97 million on Tuesday for the Dallas Cowboys. His extension has a maximum value of $104 million in potential bonuses, making him one of the highest-paid cornerbacks in the league. Diggs, a former Alabama standout, earned his contract with his performances in the last three seasons. The Maryland native has 17 career interceptions — including 11 in 2021 — and 49 passes defended. He led the National Football League for interceptions and touchdowns (two) in 2021, en route to being a first-team All-Pro selection.

Diggs’ peers voted him No. 60 on the NFL’s Top 100 players list. He joins Devonta Smith (No. 100), Marlon Humphrey (No. 92), and Tua Tagovailoa (No. 82) as the fourth Crimson Tide alum. Diggs is the second former Alabama cornerback on the list with Humphrey. He came to the Tide in 2016 as a four-star athlete. Diggs assisted Alabama to a national championship in 2017.

We will see how he continues to be a ball-hawking defender in the fall.
