Nick Saban discussed the challenge Texas quarterback, Quinn Ewers, presents Wednesday during the SEC Coaches Teleconference.
Ewers impressed many when he started off the game against Alabama last season on fire before leaving with an injury. The Texas native was 9-of-12 for 134 yards before exiting the matchup. Saban provided a breakdown of the Texas signal-caller.
“He’s a really good player,” Saban said. “Does a great job with their offense. “He reads coverages well, he’s accurate with the ball, he’s got really good skill guys outside, they’ll take advantage of that…It’s going to be a real challenge for us to affect him, number one,” Saban said. “But also do a good job of covering their guys.”

Ewers will get another shot at Alabama on Saturday night in Bryant-Denny Stadium. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m. CST.
