The sunshine state got treated to something special after the NFL Draft last week.
Thousands of people showed up at Perdido Key (Fla.) for the 40th Annual Flora-Bama Mullet Toss.

The interstate mullet toss and Gulf Coast’s Greatest Beach Party is a legendary event. Current and former Alabama players showed their arm strength in tossing a mullet, including Jalen Milroe and Malachi Moore. Jacob Coker and Ryan Anderson from the Crimson Tide’s 2015 College Football Playoff National Championship team were there. Kalen DeBoer, Alabama’s head football coach, and Nate Oats (Alabama men’s basketball head coach) took in the festivities. It was an incredible bonding experience for everyone as Alabama Athletics is in an interesting time. Coach Oats guided the basketball team to its first-ever Final Four appearance of the NCAA Tournament. Alabama men’s basketball has a chance to win a national championship in the future.

Nick Saban retired from coaching Tide football, but DeBoer plans on guiding the team to a CFP National Championship.
A different energy is around the program and fans are excited about it. Alabama’s football athletes want to show the Crimson Tide is still an elite team while its basketball athletes want to take blue blood schools down to become a champion.
Saban saw last year’s team come together to be like a family.
The “Let All Naysayers Know” or LANK mindset helped the team capture a Southeastern Conference Championship. A lot of the players from the 2023 group are on this year’s roster, and they expect to assist DeBoer back to the CFP National Title stage.
It will be fun to see the family dynamic grow with this unit.
