Alabama wide receiver Jalen Hale thanked those sticking behind him through his injury recovery in a post to X last week.

“One day at a time road to recovery,” Hale said. “Thanks to everyone for the text comments messages and word of encouragement and just sticking with me Rolltide.”

Hale suffered a significant knee injury during the Crimson Tide’s spring football session and could likely miss the entire season.

Head coach Kalen DeBoer did leave the door open for a possible return for the postseason when speaking with the media back in May.

“This season will certainly be a tough one, but I don’t wanna also say that he would be out the entire year,” DeBoer said. “Also, it depends on how long the season goes. He’s done an amazing job, and the process and recovery for him has been sped up just even since the injury happened back in the spring.

“He’s got an amazing mindset about him, and because of that, that’s why he’s having that progress at such a fast pace.”

In his first year at Alabama Hale appeared in 13 of 14 games finishing with five catches for 148 yards and a touchdown. His role was expected to significantly increase this fall prior to the injury, but now Hale will at best be eyeing a late-season return to give a boost to the offense.

Alabama will still have a number of weapons at its disposal for quarterback Jalen Milroe which includes Kobe Prentice, Kendrick Law and Washington transfer Germie Bernard who are all coming off strong performances through the spring.
