He is projected at having first-round value for next year’s NFL Draft, but he is not thinking on it.
Several media pundits have Jalen Milroe as potentially the No. 2 or 3 quarterback on their board for next April. The starting signal-caller for the University of Alabama spoke to the media in Thursday’s availability. When he was asked about his thoughts on his future after the Crimson Tide’s bowl game versus Michigan, Milroe stuck to being focused on the task at hand.
“No, my thought my process right now is finishing this game out against Michigan,” Milroe said in answering a question about his thought process in declaring for the NFL Draft. “So, it is being the absolute best I can be for my teammates and coaches.”
He is not putting any focus on the draft right now. Milroe has 2,656 passing yards, 719 rushing yards, 35 total touchdowns (20 rushing scores), and 10 interception this season. The native Texan has a chance a revenge against the Wolverines after losing to it in the College Football Playoff Semifinal matchup at the Rose Bowl to conclude the 2023 season.
Alabama football started practice Thursday in preparation for the ReliaQuest Bowl on Dec. 31.
