Despite being fired back in 2022, Ed Orgeron is as loyal as it comes to the LSU Tigers.
After helping the program win a national championship in 2019, Orgeron has become a Bayou legend as well as a college football phenomenon.
Earlier this week, Orgeron’s loyalty to the Tigers revved up another viral moment when he was stopped on a run by an Alabama fan who tested the coach by telling him “Roll Tide.” Shortly after the dreaded two word phrase, Oregeron was quick to turn back and check the Tuscaloosa native.
“Now really,” Orgeron said. “I wouldn’t say ‘Go Tigers’ to you after taking a photo. Have a good day, man. Just some respect. I mean what the f-ck? If you were from LSU, you wouldn’t go to Nick Saban and say ‘Go Tigers,’ would you?”

During his six years at LSU, Orgeron posted a record of 71-51 with three bowl wins and a national title led by quarterback Joe Burrow. In that span, Orgeron was able to defeat Saban and Alabama just one time in a legendary 46-41 shootout in Tuscaloosa which aided it’s championship season.
