Alabama football can officially clinch a spot in the SEC Championship game by simply beating Auburn in the Iron Bowl.
This reality comes as a result of Vanderbilt beating Kentucky and Tennessee beating Florida. The Commodores’ win erased the possibility of the Crimson Tide being on the outside looking in on the SEC Championship by beating Auburn due to a possible three-way tie between Alabama, Georgia and Ole Miss.
The Tide will travel to Auburn to take on the Tigers in the Iron Bowl. Kickoff is set for 6:30 p.m. CST.
If Alabama were to win and Texas A&M were to beat Texas, the Tide would play the Aggies in the conference championship game. If the Aggies lose, Alabama will play Georgia.
