Joakim Gouda reported an offer from Alabama football on Sunday, and the Crimson Tide’s inside linebacker coach Chuck Morrell visited him on Thursday.

Gouda attends South Paulding High School in Douglasville, Georgia, and he is a member of the 2027 recruiting class. He holds offers from Alabama, Georgia, Ole Miss, Texas and others.

The Crimson Tide is one of the more recent teams to offer Gouda.

“It means a lot, especially how historic their program is,” Gouda told Touchdown Alabama when asked what earning an Alabama offer means to him. “They are a great program and every year they compete for championships and put guys in the league.”

Morrell got to catch up with Gouda during his visit to see the junior linebacker.

“It was great,” Gouda said. “We talked some great ball.”

Alabama is recruiting the 6-foot-3, 225-pounder to be an inside linebacker. He shines there for South Paulding as a physical linebacker. He is great at making tackles in space with a great feel for taking angles to ball carriers.

His skillset is one he feels could be a perfect fit for the Tide.

“They use their linebackers to command the defense and play fast and free,” said Gouda
