Isaac McNeil has announced a verbal commitment to Auburn, choosing the Tigers over Alabama, Florida and Georgia.
McNeil is a 2027 four-star linebacker prospect. He holds offers from Alabama, Auburn, LSU, Florida and several other programs.
McNeil’s decision leaves the Tide with one inside linebacker commit in Kenneth Simon. The Tigers are getting an impressive linebacker.
The four-star made plays as an inside linebacker and while rushing from the edge during the 2025 football season. His ability to make tackles in space and close on the football with great speed jumps out on film.
Alabama offered McNeil in January, and the Tide made a significant push for him. He visited Alabama in the spring, and the Tide’s inside linebacker coach Chuck Morrell visited Vigor multiple times. However, Touchdown Alabama learned the Crimson Tide were fading in McNeil’s recruitment on Sunday.
