Alabama DC praises Keelon Russell’s versatility following scrimmages

Alabama quarterback Keelon Russell has officially been named as the Crimson Tide’s starter prior to his sophomore campaign in Tuscaloosa.

A former five-star plus recruit, Russell is an extremely talented quarterback with generational upside and potential. The sophomore was named as the Tide’s starting option following a highly competitive quarterback battle with junior Austin Mack, and Russell ultimately won the job despite Mack’s three years of experience in coach DeBoer’s system.
