The number is now at 10 for Alabama football student-athletes that have entered the NCAA transfer portal.
Big things must be on the horizon for the freshmen class, as Chadarius Townsend becomes the latest name to be entered into the portal.
News came via Matt Zenitz of AL.com on Tuesday.

Townsend, a four-star from Tanner (Ala.) High School, came to the Crimson Tide as a talented athlete in the 2017 signing class. Nick Saban has played him at running back, wide receiver and defensive back; however, he has yet to have an opportunity to develop at one position.

Of the 10 players that entered the portal, five were scholarship athletes that have found new homes — including running back Jerome Ford (Cincinnati), quarterback Taulia Tagovailoa (Maryland), offensive lineman Scott Lashley (Mississippi State), cornerback Nigel Knott (East Carolina) and wide receiver Tyrell Shavers (Mississippi State).
Townsend is the second receiver in the portal.
