Alabama football's five-star athlete commit, Jaylen Mbakwe  is set to play on ESPN2 tonight in a highly anticipated matchup between the Clay-Chalkille Cougars and the Thompson Warriors.

Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.

Mbakwe is the starting quarterback for Clay-Chalkville, but he is projected to be a defensive back for the Crimson Tide. His athleticism leaves the door open for him to play on either side of the ball at the next level.

The Alabama commit will not be the only big-time prospect involved in the matchup. The Cougars ' roster features Oregon's four-star offensive lineman commit, Jac'Qawn McRoy, to go along with Auburn's three-star linebacker commit, D'Angelo Barber, and four-star wide receiver, Mario Craver.

Thompson has its fair share of talent, including 2027 quarterback, Trent Seaborn, who holds an Alabama offer. He has some weapons at his disposal with his most explosive target being 2024 wide receiver, Deuce Oliver. The Warriors also have 2025 four-star defensive back and Alabama target, Anquon Fegans, suiting up for them.
