He has had to learn Nick Saban as the four and five-star athletes for Alabama football do, but Tommy Rees showed out as an offensive coordinator in the biggest game of the season last week.

He coached the Crimson Tide to 42 points in a 42-28 victory over Louisiana State University. Rees balanced the offense, had Jalen Milroe playing with confidence, and LSU's defense had no answer for the rushing attack. The 30-year-old had to take Alabama's offense slowly, but now he is ready to unleash some things on college football. Coach Saban's team is in a position to capture a Southeastern Conference Western Division title, but have Alabama fans come to trust Rees as a playcaller?

He has a chance to have the Tide's offense play a complete game again versus Kentucky.  A second dominant matchup would provide Alabama supporters more comfort to trust Rees. In Monday's episode of In My Own Words, I spoke about how Rees is starting to earn the trust of Tide fans. He is bringing out more creativity and Milroe is feeling more comfortable with the offense.

Hopefully, this will continue for the remainder of the season.
