New Orleans Saints owner Mickey Loomis signed former Green Bay Packers’ full back and two-time Pro Bowl selection John Kuhn on Saturday, according to the team’s website.

The addition of Kuhn (10-year veteran) caused the Saints to waive former Alabama defensive end D.J. Pettway; however, head coach Sean Payton and company aren’t done with Pettway just yet.

“The Saints already told me that they are resigning me,” Pettway said.

He’s battled an ankle injury for the last two months and hasn’t seen much action in training camp to this point. The 2015 national champion said “he will be playing this year, but first he needs time to heal up.” Pettway totaled 48 tackles, 12.5 tackles for loss and seven sacks in his career at Alabama.
