The University of Alabama football team relatively made it through its first scrimmage unscathed, despite rain occurring early on.

Head coach Nick Saban did not release any stats, but he did update the media on a couple of players that sustained minor injuries.

Senior defensive lineman Dalvin Tomlinson twisted his ankle and per Saban, he is scheduled to miss “a few days.”

As for Da’Shawn Hand, Saban said the defensive end “did not scrimmage” on Saturday but “will be back on Monday”.

No names were given on the players that suffered light concussions; however, Saban does not think it’s anything too serious.

“We will go through the concussion protocol with those guys and take every precaution with them before they get back,” Saban said.

The Crimson Tide returns to practice for a second full week on Monday.
