Things are not looking good for Reuben Foster right now.

After a stellar collegiate career at the University of Alabama and a good rookie season in the National Football League with the San Francisco 49ers, the talented inside linebacker is facing major issues off the field.

According to a report from the Santa Clara (Calif.) District Attorney’s Office, Foster was charged with three felony counts of domestic violence earlier today.

Stories broke throughout media outlets back in February on Foster attacking a 28-year-old woman at their home in Los Gatos, Calif., leaving her with a bruised and ruptured ear drum (information from DA’s office). The victim in question is reported to being Foster’s long-time girlfriend and on February 11, she flagged down a stranger’s car to call the police.

Going back to the DA’s release statement, the woman told the sheriff’s department and Los Gators’ police officers that Foster dragged by her hair, physically threw her out the house, and punched her in the head eight to 10 times. Upon raiding the home for evidence, officers said they found a Sig Saucer 516 – an illegal assault weapon in the state of California.

As for Foster’s charges, they are as follows: inflicting great bodily injury, forcefully attempting to prevent a victim from reporting a crime, and possession of an assault weapon.

He is also charged with a misdemeanor possession of a large capacity weapon magazine. If convicted, Foster will face more than 11 years in prison. He was selected in the first round of the 2017 NFL Draft.
