Passion and leadership have won Alabama’s receiving unit to Josh Gattis

Matthew O'Haren - USA TODAY Sports

He’s an incredible recruiter and one that can work well with quarterbacks; however, of the position coaches Nick Saban has hired to his staff at the University of Alabama – there is one that’s become a favorite for the players. Before arriving in Tuscaloosa, Josh Gattis achieved success at both Penn State and Vanderbilt as receivers coach and passing game coordinator.

He is the Crimson Tide’s outspoken leader on social media in recruiting, but his coaching staff may potentially land him in a bigger role according to sources. Despite his age, 34, Gattis has energized receivers and the offense entirely this summer with his passion and leadership.
