WATCH: UA safety Xavier McKinney in media viewing, prior to Duke game

It is a money year for him, but he is focused on Duke. 

Xavier McKinney, junior safety, was one of five players available for interviews on Monday, prior to Alabama football facing Duke in Atlanta this weekend.  

The native Georgian spoke on his focus for the game, discussed the excitement that Pete Golding has brought to the team, and even took time to praise the Crimson Tide’s group at wide receiver.

McKinney has been listed on a few preseason award watch lists – including Jim Thrope – which goes to the nation’s top defensive back.
