Leonard Fournette jumps into Alabama-LSU conversation

© Reinhold Matay - USA TODAY Sports

Hopefully, his teammate for the Jacksonville Jaguars and former Alabama standout – Cam Robinson – has sat him down after this situation.

Trash talk is natural in leading up to college football’s biggest game between Alabama and LSU; however, the smack only carries weight if the person had success in the matchup between two schools from the Southeastern Conference.

Leonard Fournette was a successful collegiate running back.

Nick Saban’s bunch rendered him to an average of 2.8 yards per carry in three years, and he recorded just 145 yards rushing with one touchdown on 51 carries. An opportunity to win the Heisman Trophy was stripped from him in 2015, as Derrick Henry posted 210 yards rushing on 38 attempts with three scores in a 30-16 victory.

The entire Alabama defense swallowed Fournette, limiting him to 31 yards on 19 carries with a touchdown late in the contest.

He did not have success on the field against the Tide, but that hasn’t stopped Fournette from talking.

Alabama and LSU will face each other next week at Bryant-Denny Stadium and the former back had one thing to say on Twitter to the Tide fans that came at him.

After hearing what Justin Jefferson said, this just adds more fuel to a growing fire.

The Tide is focused on its bye week for now, but it’s keep score of the disrespect being shown.
