Before he becomes a grandfather for a second time, Nick Saban celebrates his 68th birthday on Thursday as the head coach of Alabama football.
Since being hired in January of 2007, Saban has brought nothing but joy and success to the program and community as a whole.
A native of West Virginia, he made true of his promise of given the Crimson Tide fan base a product it could be proud of.
Prior to this season, he delivered Alabama to five national championships (BCS and College Football Playoff), six Southeastern Conference titles and numerous top-ranked signing classes. Saban has guided a multitude of young men to the National Football League and all are very grateful to have him as a devoted father figure.

As a hard worker, he wants nothing less than excellence.
He is currently pursuing a sixth national title with the Tide, which would tie him with legendary coach Paul W. “Bear” Bryant.
While Bryant won all of his championships at Alabama, Saban has seven overall (one at LSU). For now, we take this moment to wish the greatest coach of all-time a very happy birthday.
In a joking manner, Saban said on Wednesday that after watching practice film, talking to recruits and doing football related things, his birthday would be devoted to what his wife – Miss Terry – would have him do. A happy wife truly makes a happy home, but supporters of Tide football are just happy that Saban chose to coach and stay with this team.
Hopefully, someone saves him some good Halloween candy.
Happy Birthday, Coach Saban!
