Lane Kiffin is serious about keeping his staff together at Mississippi.
In his return to the Southeastern Conference from Florida Atlantic, he brought Wilson Love with him as his head strength and conditioning coach. Wilson was with Kiffin in his three seasons at FAU, helping the program win two Conference USA Championships.
With his former team losing its strength and conditioning weapon to Georgia, one media pundit gave Alabama an idea of who it could of after. Upon seeing Love’s name as a potential candidate for the Crimson Tide on social media, Kiffin immediately addressed it. He wants no parts of Alabama on Love, despite the fact of him being an alumnus of the school.
Get Love off that list!!

A product of Mountain Brook (Ala.) High School, Love signed in the Tide’s 2010 recruiting class as a defensive lineman. He played from 2010 to 2013, winning two national championships and a SEC title. He decided to stay with the program — after earning his degree in Commerce and Business Administration – and start his coaching career. He served as a defensive graduate assistant in 2014 and an assistant strength and conditioning coach from 2015 to 2016.
During this time, Love saw three conference championships and a national title in the 2015 season.
He got Derrick Henry’s body prepared to be a beast in 2015, as the former five-star posted a 2,000-yard campaign (2,219) and earn the school its second Heisman Trophy winner.

Kiffin knows how important a good strength coach is. With the Tide parting ways with Scott Cochran, he is protecting Love at all costs.
