Not only did Najee Harris shock people by not entering the NFL Draft, he also brought excitement to Alabama football fans.

The California native and former five-star returns for his senior season and after a 1,000-yard campaign in 2019, Harris is ready to pound defenses again.

As good as he is, Harris will have help as six others make up the rotation at running back.

Brian Robinson Jr., a Tuscaloosa native, is back for his senior year and intends on making a splash for NFL scouts. The 6-foot-1, 226-pounder had his best season in 2019, totaling 441 rushing yards with five touchdowns.

He also caught 11 passes for 124 yards. Once a four-star prospect, Robinson carries power, strong blocking abilities and hands as a pass catcher.

The duo of Keilan Robinson and Trey Sanders enter year two in the program.

While an injury relegated Sanders to the sideline, the younger Robinson collected 254 yards rushing with two scores. He posted the best yards per rush average (6.51) among the group and per Nick Saban, Robinson has the best speed.

Sanders, a five-star via Florida, arrived with Heisman aspirations in 2019. He did not get the opportunity, so this is his second chance.

A product from IMG Academy, Sanders is the one fans are most excited to see.

Then, Alabama has a trio of freshmen.

The group of Jase McClellan, Roydell Williams and Kyle Edwards all bring something to the table.

Whether it’s speed, power, catching passes, blocking, strong play on special teams or a combination of each one, all three will get an opportunity.

Despite losing Jerome Ford to the University of Cincinnati, the Tide expects to keep the remainder of its seven backs and get back to having a balanced attack on offense.

On Monday, yours truly of Touchdown Alabama Magazine previewed the backs on In My Own Words
