On the first play of Alabama’s game against Tennessee, wide receiver Jaylen Waddle went down with a lower-body injury while trying to return the kickoff.
Waddle was immediately helped off the sidelines and taken straight into the locker rooms for x-rays.
CBS’ Jamie Erdahl originally said the junior would be listed as “questionable” to return but later reported near the end of the first quarter that he would be “out” for the remainder of the game.
