Alex Leatherwood named SEC Offensive Lineman of the Week

On Monday it was announced by the SEC that Alabama left tackle Alex Leatherwood had been named the conference’s offensive lineman of the week.

Last Saturday against Arkansas, Leatherwood helped the Crimson Tide rush for six touchdowns and averaged 5.7 yards per carry.

  • Anchored an Alabama offensive line that helped the Tide to a dominant 52-3 win at Arkansas
  • Graded out at 100 percent on his assignments and did not commit a penalty against the Razorbacks
  • Did not allow a sack or a quarterback pressure as Mac Jones completed 24-of-29 passes for 208 yards
  • Helped the Tide ground game average 5.7 yards per carry and accumulate six rushing touchdowns
  • Alabama’s unit controlled the line of scrimmage as the Tide accounted for 216 rushing yards and 227 yards through the air
