Monkell Goodwine signed a National Letter of Intent to play football at the University of Alabama Wednesday.

Goodwine is a product Upper Malboro, Maryland. He chose Alabama over Texas A&M, Kentucky and others. The 4-Star recruit told Touchdown Alabama he loved Alabama’s coaching staff before announcing his pledge to the Crimson Tide.
“They are consistent in their contact,” Goodwine said. “They tell me how much I can fit in their defense. I have been talking to coach Saban, coach Sal (Sunseri) and coach (Charles) Huff. I love their staff.”
Goodwine currently comes in at 6-foot-4 and weighs 260 pounds. He is quick off the snap and shows great closing speed in pursuit of the football. The most impressive part about his game is his ability and willingness to go after the football when the play is directed away from him.
