After becoming the first collegiate program to win all 10 games of a conference-only schedule, Alabama football now seeks its seventh Southeastern Conference championship versus Florida.
In the Nick Saban era, the Crimson Tide has won three of four SEC title showdowns against the Gators.

With two explosive offenses and four Heisman contenders on the field, this contest has all of the makings of which defense can generate the most stops. Both teams and its fans are locked in for a big game, as a conference crown, College Football Playoff implications and the Heisman Trophy are on the line. On Friday, the tandem of Patrick Dowd (writer/reporter) and yours truly of Touchdown Alabama Magazine previewed the SEC Championship Game.
Although the line on the game is -17 in favor of the Tide, both of us discussed what the Gators must do to have an opportunity to pull an upset.
