Alabama football fans are ready for spring practice.
Before next Friday arrives, yours truly of Touchdown Alabama Magazine will be releasing videos on In My Own Words to break down positional units for the Crimson Tide. Nick Saban and his program are trying to repeat as national champions of college football for the first time since the 2011-12 seasons. While the majority is focused on the quarterback competition, Alabama also wants to have the best starting rotation of defensive backs on the field. Patrick Surtain II is the only one it loses to the NFL Draft.

After forcing nine interceptions — three for touchdowns — in 2020, it will be interesting to see who are consistently the best five to six players in the secondary. Jordan Battle and Malachi Moore are expected to hold their starting positions throughout spring.
