He has yet to have a Heisman moment, but Bryce Young has been consistent.
Since winning the quarterback job at Alabama, he’s shown he is more than capable of leading the offense. Despite offensive line problems, receivers dropping passes, and questionable play-calling, the sophomore has the Crimson Tide’s offense averaging 43 points per game.
He also has Alabama in control of its postseason destiny and at No. 2 in the College Football Playoff rankings.

Young ranks in the top-10 nationally for passing yards (2,755, tied for 10th), touchdown passes (28, fourth), passer rating (174, fourth), and quarterback rating (86.6, second). The 6-foot, 194-pounder has six 300-yard passing games, including four against Southeastern Conference schools. He has tossed at least two scoring passes in all nine matchups. Young is tied with AJ McCarron (2013) and Blake Sims (2014) for fifth all-time in school history for touchdown passes (28). He has 30 total touchdowns and it ties him with Najee Harris (2020) for seventh all-time in program history. According to Vegas Insider, Young leads across the platform in the Heisman Trophy race. He carries the highest odds for Vegas Insider at +185. He also has the highest odds for BetMGM (+175), PointsBet (+185), FanDuel Sportsbook (+170), DraftKings Sportsbook (+180), and Caesars Sportsbook (+180).
He could have his Heisman moment either against Auburn or versus Georgia in the SEC Championship Game.
Young, a former five-star, is closing in on becoming Alabama’s first Heisman-winning quarterback.
