Alabama could be missing tight end Jahleel Billingsley against New Mexico State on Saturday. His father, Charles Billingsley shared a post on Twitter stating that his son might be held out.

Billingsley’s production has been inconsistent at best in 2021 as he lost his starting role to junior Cameron Latu at the start of the season. The Crimson Tide have missed Billingsley’s production throughout the season as head coach Nick Saban highlighted earlier in the week.

“Do we miss his production? Yeah,” Saban said on Wednesday. “But when he gets opportunities, he’s gotta take advantage of it and he’s gotta play fast. He’s certainly a guy that can help us in some kind of way. We need him to go out there and play like he’s capable of playing.”

In nine games of action, Billingsley has recorded 11 receptions for 186 yards and two touchdowns.
