No changes will be made at quarterback for the Philadelphia Eagles next season.

Howie Roseman, general manager for the Eagles, announced Jalen Hurts is the starter for the 2022 campaign. Hurts turned in solid numbers in his first season as the starter, guiding Philadelphia to the playoffs at 9-8 for the 2021 season. He is not the most polished passer in the National Football League, but Hurts possesses traits the Eagles love.

He totaled 3,144 passing yards and 16 touchdowns to nine interceptions.

Hurts recorded ten rushing touchdowns, moving his total scores to 26. He tallied 784 yards rushing and led the league’s best rushing offense. Hurts had six games where he posted a passer rating of 100 or better and six games with 2+ touchdown passes.

He can be a good quarterback in the NFL, and his teammates revere him as a leader.

Nick Sirianni, Eagles’ head coach, confirmed Roseman in stating Hurts is the starter for next fall. As a former national champion and two-time SEC Champion at Alabama, Hurts has the support of his team. He spent the 2019 season at Oklahoma and got selected in the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft. Crimson Tide fans are excited to see Hurts take the next step in the fall.
