Charles LeClaire - USA TODAY Sports

Najee Harris is representing the Pittsburgh Steelers in the NFL Pro Bowl.

He joins Mac Jones as the second rookie player from the University of Alabama in the 2021 NFL Draft to make the event.

The Steelers announced the news via Twitter as Harris replaces Joe Mixon of Cincinnati. He got selected at No. 24 overall by Pittsburgh and produced a record-setting season. Harris broke Franco Harris’ rookie mark of 1,055 rushing yards (1972), making him the leader in Steelers’ history. Najee Harris totaled 1,200 yards rushing and seven touchdowns on 307 carries. He ranked second for running backs in the NFL for carries and fourth for yards. Harris posted three 100+ yard rushing performances.

He caught 74 passes for 467 receiving yards and three touchdowns. As a former two-time national champion, Harris pushed the Steelers to the AFC playoffs with a 9-7-1 record. Pittsburgh knows it has a star in its backfield, but it needs to draft a quarterback.
