A very interesting development is happening at the University of Pittsburgh.

Jordan Addison, a star receiver for the Panthers, is strongly considering entering the NCAA transfer portal.

Several rumors from marquee reporters and outlets have been discussing the matter. USC is Addison’s expected destination because of NIL opportunities, but will Nick Saban and Alabama football test the waters with Addison?

Alabama has plenty of NIL opportunities for players, and we have seen names such as Landon Dickerson, Jameson Williams, and Henry To’oto’o help the program to Southeastern Conference titles and national championships. The Crimson Tide plucked Jermaine Burton (formerly of Georgia) and Tyler Harrell (formerly of Louisville) from the portal as elite playmakers.

Addison won the Biletnikoff Award (nation’s top receiver) in 2021 after posting 100 receptions for 1,593 yards and 17 touchdowns. The 6-foot, 175-pounder was the primary target for Kenny Pickett. Lincoln Riley and USC have the resources to make the Trojans an attractive place for Addison. Also, Caleb Williams left Oklahoma to join Riley at USC to be the quarterback.

Alabama has the reigning Heisman Trophy winner in Bryce Young. Jameson Williams needed one season with Young as a transfer and became a first-round draft pick. We will see what happens as information heats up with Addison.
