Going into the 2022 season one of the quarterbacks who will be under the microscope of his franchise is Dolphins signal-caller Tua Tagovailoa.

After two lackluster seasons where Tagovailoa battled injuries, inconsistency, roster overhauls and new coaches, he now enters his third season with several major upgrades on offense including superstar wide receiver Tyreek Hill.

It’ll be the first season the two work together following Hill’s tenure with the Kansas City Chiefs and even before the two run out of the tunnel together this fall there are some who have questions regarding Tagovailoa. Especially following a polarizing video released by the team, fans continued to ask about the southpaw’s ability to throw at the NFL level.

As of now, no one knows for sure what Hill and Tagovailoa will be able to accomplish together this season, but Hill raved about his new quarterback’s arm strength and talent.

“At first, I thought it was going to be something crazy — the ball going all over the place, but Tua actually has probably one of the prettiest balls I’ve ever caught in my life,” Hill said according to ESPN. “It’s very catchable. Tua is a very accurate quarterback. That’s all I’m going to say.”

Miami traded a total of five draft picks to the Kansas City Chiefs in exchange for Hill which included a first and second-round pick from the 2022 NFL Draft. Hill would then sign a four-year $120 million extension with $72 million guaranteed. Both players enter this season with pressure, but each will continue to build confidence this summer.

“I just feel like football is all about confidence and I’m very confident in my quarterback,” Hill said. “So I just feel like if I’m able to help him get to all the confidence in the world and push other guys to push that confidence into him, then the sky’s the limit for the guy because he’s a heck of a talent, has crazy arm strength, arm talent.

“We’re all excited just to watch him sling the ball each and every day.”
