Lance Jackson tweeted he received an offer from Alabama football Wednesday.

Jackson attends Pleasant Grove High School in Texarkana, Texas. He now holds 21 offers, including offers from Notre Dame, Texas and Oklahoma.

Alabama’s wide receiver coach Holmon Wiggins was out recruiting Texas when he came by Pleasant Grove and saw Jackson lift. Wiggins passed along the good news to the Texas product.

“When I was told, I just felt so happy and glad that he gave it to me,” Jackson told Touchdown Alabama. “He wants me to get up there.”

The four-star recruit holds offers from multiple current and future SEC programs. He feels Alabama is a place he knows he will get pushed to be his best.

“My overall thoughts are just it’s a really good school,” Jackson said. “A very successful school that people succeed at and go on in life. I know that I’d get pushed there to be the greatest and best player I can be.”

Jackson is listed at 6-foot-5 and 240 pounds. He played on both sides of the football last season, splitting time at tight end and defensive end. He presented a big target for his quarterback at tight end and was a tough runner after the catch. When lined up at the defensive end, he flashed a quick get-off and power.
