According to the New York Post, Williams and the Jets are “not far apart” on reaching a new deal this summer.

The report shared that the length of the deal is where the disparity lies as Williams’ camp is likely searching for a five-year deal in order for him to remain in New York.

Williams has certainly earned the right to a big payday as he recorded 55 total tackles, 12 tackles for loss, 12 sacks, two forced fumbles and 28 quarterback hits during 2022.
