We have made it to July and SEC Football Media Days are coming soon.
The University of Alabama looks to return to the College Football Playoff in the fall and win a national championship. Nick Saban has several talented players, but which ones will emerge as the most impactful?
The staff at Touchdown Alabama Magazine will spotlight numerous players for the upcoming season.
After looking at Isaiah Bond, we continue with wide receivers and Kendrick Law is next.
Kendrick Law
Classification: Sophomore
Hometown: Shreveport, La.
Position: Wide Receiver
Size: 5-11/201 pounds
2022 stats: 8 catches, 103 receiving yards, eight tackles on special teams (11 games)
Strengths: Athleticism, route-running, can separate from defenders, toughness, speed, good hands, competitor, versatility
Weaknesses: Needs more opportunities
Summary
Nick Saban called Kendrick Law ‘a dog’ for a reason.
The sophomore from Louisiana is one of the fiercest competitors on the team.
Law came as a four-star receiver in the 2022 signing class. He started to emerge as a playmaker late in the season, totaling eight catches for 103 yards. Law brings versatility on special teams as he totaled eight tackles in 11 games. The 5-foot-11, 201-pounder has a compact frame, but he possesses athleticism, route-running abilities, and hands to have more opportunities.
Alabama needs to get him involved in jet sweeps and screens to use his strength and speed.
Hopefully, Law shines in fall camp to earn more time on the field.
