Jeff Banks compares playing at Alabama to playing Iowa State, Kansas

Alabama Special Teams coach Jeff Banks

The Texas Longhorns’ tight ends coach Jeff Banks is telling his players playing Alabama on the road in September will be not much different than playing a couple of Big 12 programs.

Banks has experience coaching in Bryant-Denny Stadium. He was on Alabama’s staff as the Tide’s staff from 2018 to 2020 as the special teams and tight ends coach. According to Orangebloods.com reporter, Anwar Richardson, Banks is telling Texas players to look at the Longhorns’ matchup with Alabama as just another game.

“We’re just going to play another road game,” said Richardson. “Just as hard in Kansas and Iowa State as it is going to be in Tuscaloosa. It’s just bigger and more people.”
