Alabama 2024 commits set to make statements this season

The high school football season is here for multiple states across the United States.

The season kicked off for many high schools last week while others like the state of Alabama are set to get things rolling this week.

A couple of Alabama football’s 2024 commits are primed to make a statement this season and improve their recruiting ratings. Here is a look at those prospects:

William Sanders – 3-Star OL

Sanders is one of the most physical interior offensive linemen in the country. He currently garners a three-star rating from most recruiting services, but he should change that this season at Brookwood High School. The 6-foot-4, 290-pounder is a mauler of a run blocker, who deletes defenders in open space when he is called on to pull block. His junior film puts him in the conversation to be one of the best run blockers in the country. He will look to flex his growth in pass protection as a senior which should cement his rise in recruiting rankings.

Joseph Ionata – 3-Star OL

Ionata stars at tackle, where he did not give up a single sack during the 2022 football season. He went up against some impressive competition, including Alabama five-star edge signee, Keon Keeley. He works up the field when run blocking and has shown an ability to get to the next level while showing impressive athleticism when blocking in space.

Isaia Faga – 3-Star DL

Faga explodes out of his stance upon the snap of the football at 6-foot-2 and 270 pounds. He often beats offensive linemen within the first few seconds of the play as they are left grabbing at him as he dips by. The Alabama commit is also effective with his hands and fights off blocks well.

Rydarrius Morgan – 3-Star DB

Morgan plays with his hair on fire. He attacks the football with speed and physicality. Once he diagnoses where a play is going, he is like a heat-seeking missile to the ball carrier. The tenacity and effort he plays with are easy to spot when you turn on his film. He is the first one down on kickoff, and he chases down plays going away from him.

Dre Kirkpatrick Jr. – 3-Star DB

If you had to describe Dre Kirkpatrick Jr. on the football field in one way, you would call him an opportunist. The Alabama legacy jumps at opportunities to create turnovers which should serve him well at the next level. He has a smoothness to his game as he flows within the secondary patiently reading where a play is going. He also flashes great ball-tracking skills when he plays over the top at safety.
