The Miami Dolphins are atop the AFC East (11-4) and fighting the Baltimore Ravens and Cleveland Browns for the possibility to capture the No. 1 seed in the AFC playoffs with home-field advantage.

Tua Tagovailoa, a former University of Alabama standout, leads the National Football League for passing yards (4,214) among quarterbacks, but he faces the Ravens on Sunday without a marquee playmaker. Jaylen Waddle, a former Crimson Tide wide receiver, sustained an ankle injury last week versus the Dallas Cowboys.

Waddle is the first receiver in Dolphins’ history to record three consecutive 1,000-yard seasons.

He is second on the team for catches (72), yards (1,014), and touchdowns (four) behind Tyreek Hill. According to several NFL insiders, Waddle has been ruled “Out” of this weekend’s matchup against Baltimore.

He was taken at No. 6 overall in the 2021 NFL Draft.
