Cade Hampton, an intern who covers Alabama gymnastics and baseball for Tuscaloosa News, captured a photo of Proctor on the sideline. The 6-foot-7, 350-pounder played at left tackle for the Crimson Tide in 2023, helping it to a Southeastern Conference Championship as a freshman. He endured struggles early in the season, but Proctor got improved with each rep. He decided to enter the NCAA transfer portal and go to the University of Iowa upon Nick Saban announcing his retirement on Jan. 10.

Proctor has been in conversations with his former Tide teammates since then.

Speculation started on him possibly returning to Alabama via the transfer portal, but nothing has happened. The spring portal opens Monday, and Tide fans look to see if Proctor choses to return to Tuscaloosa, Ala. Elijah Pritchett has gotten better at offensive tackle, but Proctor does have marquee game experience. We will see what happens, but Proctor did take in A-Day.
