Alabama is in the mix to land one of the top pass catchers in the country for the 2026 class. On Sunday evening, 2026 four-star wide receiver Cederian Morgan listed Alabama as one of 10 finalists that could land his commitment.
The other finalists that were listed are Auburn, Georgia, Florida, Tennessee, Ohio State, Colorado, Clemson, Miami (FL), and Oregon. Morgan has taken unofficial visits to Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, and Florida.
Morgan has been a priority target for the Crimson Tide. The product of Benjamin Russell High School received a visit from multiple members of Alabama’s coaching staff on Friday. Head coach Kalen DeBoer, offensive coordinator Nick Sheridan, running backs coach Robert Gillespie, wide receivers coach JaMarcus Shephard, offensive line coach Chris Kapilovic, and general manager Courtney Morgan stopped by the school to visit with Morgan and his family.
The preceding day Morgan made the trek from Alex City to Tuscaloosa for Alabama’s Junior Day. He was accompanied by multiple family members.
Morgan is on the path to becoming a five-star by the time his senior season concludes. The 6-foot-5, two-sport athlete has the potential to be a Day 1 starter at the college level. He has the athleticism, size, and hands to contribute to a team’s offensive efforts in a multitude of ways. Despite being a big-bodied wide receiver, Morgan can line up as a slot receiver or on the boundary. He finds ways to make plays regardless of where he aligns on offense.
Alabama wide receivers coach JaMarcus Shephard has been recruiting Morgan since he was hired by the Crimson Tide last offseason. The two have a close relationship and will look to continue to build upon that in the coming months ahead of early national signing day. Alabama figures to be in the mix for the long haul.
