Alabama football’s defense will be responsible for slowing down a group of running backs looking to make a name for themselves in the SEC in 2025.
Each of these running backs will have an opportunity to stamp themselves as one of the best.
Here is a look at the five best running backs Alabama will face in 2025:
Caden Durham – LSU
Durham had a breakout freshman campaign for the Tigers. He rushed for 753 yards and six touchdowns on 140 carries.
The sophomore is a physical running back, who runs the football with great balance and vision at 5-foot-9 and 205 pounds. He is also explosive with the ability to take it for six whenever he explodes into the second level.
Alabama kept Durham to 63 yards, but he did average 7.9 yards a carry while playing limited snaps despite him not being injured. Durham’s dynamic running ability could present Alabama with quite the challenge when LSU travels to Tuscaloosa with the weapons the Tigers have out wide.
