Kalen DeBoer and Alabama football are preparing to compete against Georgia in a raucous environment on Saturday night.
The Crimson Tide have been pumping in noise at practice as they continue to prepare for the Bulldogs, and according to DeBoer the noise ‘couldn’t get any louder’ than it was during the Tide’s Wednesday practice.
A loud stadium usually serves as an advantage for the home squad, particularly when their defense is on the field. DeBoer hopes Alabama can flip this and use how loud the crowd is to its advantage against Georgia.
“For us, one thing we want to use is we want to use the crowd noise on offense to our benefit,” DeBoer said. “So, with a lot of shifting and motioning that we do, we want to force the defense to communicate too. That’s no secret. We’ve done that, and we’ve said it out loud. It’s pretty obvious when you turn our film on, that’s a lot of what we do… But that’s what we want to try to do. We want to try to put the pressure back on their defense and their communication in that environment as well.”
Alabama is 2-5 away from Bryant-Denny Stadium under DeBoer. The Crimson Tide are hopeful they can help improve this stat with a win against the Bulldogs.
