Former Alabama quarterback Tua Tagovailoa is not a fan of recent criticism from Cam Newton.
Newton recently discussed Tagovailoa on ESPN’s First Take and criticized the Miami Dolphins’ quarterback. The Heisman Trophy winner and former NFL MVP said he preferred ‘quiet’ Tua and ‘Alabama’ Tua during a recent show.
Tagovailoa was asked about the criticism he has faced this season by a reporter who referenced Newton in a recent press conference, and the former Alabama quarterback used the opportunity to push back against Newton.
“I want to see anybody on the streets come play QB.” Tagovailoa said. “Cam Newton is doing his thing in media, but It’s easier to be able to hold a clicker and talk about it that way or talk about what someone else is doing wrong when you’re not going out and having to do the same as them. I think it’s easy to do that. I think anybody can do that. I don’t think anybody can play quarterback.”
The Dolphins and Tagovailoa are currently 0-3.
