Former Alabama quarterback, AJ McCarron isn’t too worried about the potential of an upset with the Crimson Tide set to hit the road to Columbus to face Missouri this weekend.

Alabama football will enter this matchup riding a four-game win streak, coming off the heels of an impressive home victory over Vanderbilt last Saturday. The Tide’s next challenge is knocking off an undefeated Missouri team. McCarron believes Alabama should be dominant as visitors this weekend, despite the Tigers’ early success.

“I’m gonna go out on a limb this week,” McCarron said on the McCready and Siskey Podcast. ” I think Alabama puts it on them. I don’t think Missouri throws the ball that great with Beau Pribula. But if you can stop Ahmad Hardy, I think they’re just super one dimensional. I think Alabama will focus on the run, allow their secondary to just man up and play free, really focusing on the run. Listen, I think Alabama from an offensive standpoint, they’re rolling right now. I think if you can carry that confidence in that you just played with this past weekend, I think Vandy’s a better team than Missouri, me personally… I just think Alabama matches up really well with them, better than Missouri matches up with them.”

Alabama football will have its chance to prove McCarron was right in his statement when the Tide kicks off against Missouri from Faurot Field at Memorial Stadium Saturday at 11 am on ABC.
