Alabama linebacker Caleb Woodson made a massive impact during last weekend’s 45-17 win over Kentucky.
Woodson has emerged as an instant difference maker across his first two games as a member of the Crimson Tide this season. The linebacker originally transferred to Alabama from Virginia Tech in January, and Woodson has since played a critical role as a veteran leader on the Tide’s defense.
Woodson’s next opportunity to make an impact will arrive this weekend, as the Tide will host FSU at Bryant-Denny Stadium on Saturday afternoon. The veteran recently took a moment to reveal what the remaining players from last year’s team have said entering the matchup, as last season’s Week 1 loss to Florida State will more than likely be used as motivation.
“Everyone knows what happened last year.” Woodson said. “I wasn’t on the team here last year, I played them at my old school. I know they got a whole new team now, so just looking forward to going out there and attacking them.”
Florida State beat Virginia Tech last season 34-14.
Woodson will look to pick up right where he left off against the Seminoles this weekend. The linebacker has recorded 13 total tackles and two sacks across the first two weeks of the season, and Woodson appears to be fired up for Saturday’s contest following his comments earlier this week.
